In Admin, I can set up Groups. But I can't see any way of alocating entries to these groups. Any hints?

 

Hi,

Once you have added the group you can click on it and add users to the group. You can then use this when setting privileges for clients/leads as to who can read/write them.

Ah, so a Group is a bunch of users. I thought it was a way of categorising entries. Grouping Leads by type for exmaple. I would like to do this though..is there a way? I'd like to display my leads and clients by their group, and as, Suppliers, Buyers or contractors.

 

Yes that is correct. The easiest way to do what you want is to use tags. if you click on a client, lead etc. and use the 'Edit Tags' link you can then type what you want there (Tactile CRM will auto-suggest previously used entries for you) and then you can search for specific tags on the list of clients etc.

 

OK. Wouldn't it be easier to have a 'Display by Classification' option?

 

Take that back. tags work well. Only thing is, I can't remember if I've allocated tags to everything. SO list by tag isn;t neccesarily reliable.
